Kano Man Arraigned Over Alleged Plot To Kill Father
A Kano man, Nura Usman, and his father’s former wife, Izzatu Aliyu, have been arraigned before a Kano Magistrate’s Court over an alleged plot to kill his father.
The defendants were arraigned before Magistrate’s Court No. 26 in Nomansland, Kano, on charges of conspiracy to commit an offence and attempted murder.
Prosecuting counsel, Barrister A.I. Buhari, told the court that the charges were newly filed and sought permission for them to be read to the defendants.
The court granted the request, after which the court clerk, Awaisu Jajira, read the charges to the accused persons.
Following the arraignment, the prosecution requested an adjournment to enable it obtain further directives from the government.
The court granted the application and adjourned the case until September 7, 2026, for the re-arraignment of the defendants.
