Funke Akindele Celebrates Self On 49th Birthday

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has celebrated her 49th birthday, expressing gratitude to God for His faithfulness and praying for good health, long life and the grace to continue fulfilling her purpose.

Akindele shared the birthday message in a post on X, reflecting on the different seasons of her life and the lessons, victories, mistakes and challenges she has experienced.

“Today is my birthday. My heart is full of gratitude to God for all He has done, all He is doing, and all that is still to come,” she wrote.

The actress said God had remained her “strength and shield” through every phase of her journey, adding that she had received the grace to rise, learn and become better even in moments when she fell short.

She said her birthday prayer was for good health, long life, peace and the grace to continue walking in purpose.
