FULL LIST: Zadok Yohanna, Calvin Okike Among 20 EPL Youngsters To Watch in 2026/27

Nigerian youngsters Zadok Yohanna and Calvin Okike have been listed among 20 rising stars tipped to enjoy breakthrough campaigns in the 2026/27 Premier League season.

The duo were included in a BBC Sport selection highlighting one emerging talent from each Premier League club expected to make an impact during the new campaign.

Brighton & Hove Albion winger Zadok Yohanna is among the standout names after the Seagulls paid £21.5 million to sign the 19-year-old from Swedish side AIK Stockholm.

The Nigerian winger impressed in the Swedish top flight last season, registering five goals and four assists in 18 appearances before completing his move to England.

Former Brighton midfielder Warren Aspinall believes the club pulled off a major transfer coup by beating other Premier League clubs to Yohanna’s signature.

“It’s a little bit of a scalp because two other big clubs in England were chasing him, Chelsea and Newcastle, so they got ahead of them, which is very good,” Aspinall said.

Hull City defender Calvin Okike is the second Nigerian on the list after an impressive rise through the club’s academy.

The 18-year-old signed his first professional contract earlier this summer and gained senior experience during a loan spell at National League side Hartlepool United, where he scored less than a minute into his debut.

Okike was also named Hull City’s Academy Player of the Year for the 2025/26 season and has featured during the club’s pre-season programme, boosting his chances of first-team involvement.

The list also features several of Europe’s brightest young prospects, including Arsenal teenager Max Dowman, Chelsea forward Dastan Satpaev, Liverpool midfielder Trey Nyoni and Manchester United attacker Shea Lacey.
