Ten years after Jamie Vardy set the record, the Leicester City striker remains the player with the longest goalscoring streak in Premier League history, having scored in 11 consecutive matches.

According to Premier League, Vardy achieved the feat between August 29 and November 28, 2015, during Leicester City’s remarkable 2015/16 campaign, when they went on to win their first League title.

His 11-game run surpassed the previous record held by Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who had scored in 10 successive Premier League appearances between March 22 and August 23, 2003.

Several prolific forwards have since produced lengthy scoring runs, but none has managed to match or surpass Vardy’s record.

Here are the 10 longest goalscoring streaks in Premier League history:

1. Jamie Vardy – Leicester City – 11 games

Vardy holds the outright record after scoring in 11 consecutive Premier League appearances between August and November 2015.

His goalscoring run was a key part of Leicester’s extraordinary title-winning campaign under Claudio Ranieri.

2. Ruud van Nistelrooy – Manchester United – 10 games

Van Nistelrooy previously held the Premier League record after finding the net in 10 consecutive league appearances, with his run ending on August 23, 2003.

He remains the only player apart from Vardy to have scored in at least 10 successive Premier League matches.

3. Ruud van Nistelrooy – Manchester United – 8 games

The Dutch striker features twice on the list, having also scored in eight consecutive Premier League appearances during the 2001/02 season.

That particular run ended on January 19, 2002.

4. Daniel Sturridge – Liverpool – 8 games

Sturridge recorded an eight-match scoring streak during his prolific spell with Liverpool.

The England international completed the run on February 23, 2014.

5. Jamie Vardy – Leicester City – 8 games

Vardy features twice among the longest scoring streaks, having also scored in eight consecutive Premier League appearances in December 2019.

His consistency in front of goal helped Leicester remain among the leading teams in the league during that period.

6. Alexander Isak – Newcastle United – 8 games

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak joined the eight-game club after scoring in eight successive Premier League appearances.

His run came to an end on January 15, 2025.

7. Mohamed Salah – Liverpool – 7 games

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has recorded two separate seven-match Premier League scoring streaks.

One of those runs came during the 2021/22 campaign, with Salah scoring in seven successive league appearances.

8. Erling Haaland – Manchester City – 7 games

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland also registered a seven-game scoring streak during the 2022/23 season.

The Norwegian scored in seven consecutive Premier League matches before the run ended on October 8, 2022.

9. Taiwo Awoniyi – Nottingham Forest – 7 games

Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi also made the list after scoring in seven consecutive Premier League appearances for Nottingham Forest.

His scoring run ended on August 26, 2023.

10. Thierry Henry – Arsenal – 7 games

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry completed a seven-match Premier League scoring streak during his illustrious spell at the club.

The Frenchman’s run ended on May 9, 2000.

Vardy’s 11-game streak remains the benchmark, with Van Nistelrooy the only other player to have reached double figures for consecutive Premier League appearances with a goal.
