Fidelity Bank Plc has secured approval from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) to extend the deadline for publishing its audited financial statements for the half-year ended June 30, 2026, to September 30, 2026.

According to a Fidelity Bank statement dated August 21, 2026, signed by the bank’s Company Secretary, Ezinwa Unuigboje, the extension was granted because the audit of the bank’s H1 2026 financial statements is still being finalised. The bank said the accounts will be submitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria for approval once the audit is completed.

Fidelity Bank said the extension was obtained from NGX subject to receiving the CBN’s regulatory approval for the audited half-year accounts.

The bank also notified shareholders and other stakeholders that its trading window remains closed for insiders and connected persons.

According to the statement, the restriction will remain in place until 24 hours after the publication of the H1 2026 audited financial statements.

Premium Times subsequently reported the development, citing the regulatory filing by Fidelity Bank’s Company Secretary.

The extension means Fidelity Bank will have until September 30 to complete the audit, obtain the necessary regulatory approval and publish the financial statements.
