The report also claimed that an agent in Mararaba was purchasing human kidneys.

In a statement on Tuesday, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the Command had neither received nor confirmed any report of such activity.

Adeh said no statement or communication on the alleged kidney sales had emanated from the FCT Police Command.

“The FCT Police Command wishes to categorically state that it has neither received nor confirmed any report of such nature, and no statement or communication to that effect has emanated from the Command,” she said.

The Command urged members of the public to disregard the publication and refrain from circulating unverified information capable of causing unnecessary fear, panic and apprehension among residents.

It, however, encouraged anyone with credible information concerning alleged human organ trafficking or any other security concern within the FCT to report promptly to the nearest police station.
