The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has handed over $150,000 recovered from an alleged fraud case to a victim in Lagos.
The commission disclosed this in a post shared on its official X account, stating that its Lagos Zonal Directorate 2, Ikoyi, carried out the handover on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
According to the EFCC, the money was recovered in connection with an alleged case of obtaining by false pretence.
The commission identified the recovered amount as $150,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars).

The EFCC did not disclose the identity of the victim or provide further details about the alleged fraud in its brief update.
The handover is part of the commission’s efforts to recover funds linked to financial crimes and return recovered proceeds to their rightful owners.
