The commissioning of the landmark Barefoot Renewable Energy College, facilitated by the Energy Commission of Nigeria and located within the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, in Kogi State.
Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo and other dignitaries are in attendance, while Vice President Kashim Shettima will commission the facility on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
The Barefoot Renewable Energy College is expected to serve as a regional hub for renewable energy training and capacity building, equipping young people, especially women and rural communities, with practical skills in clean energy technologies to promote sustainable development and improve energy access.
Stakeholders are commending President Tinubu for his administration’s commitment to empowering young Nigerians with practical skills in renewable energy, expanding technical education, and driving innovation in the sector.
