Davido and Governor Adeleke steal the show with dance at Osun campaign rally

Afrobeats superstar Davido has become one of the biggest talking points online after making a dramatic entrance at an Osun State campaign rally, where he climbed over a barricade to join Governor Ademola Adeleke on stage ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

Videos circulating on social media captured the singer arriving alongside the governor’s son, Sina Adeleke, popularly known as Shina Rambo, as they attempted to reach the campaign stage through a massive crowd of supporters.

Dressed in a flowing traditional jalabiya, Davido was seen struggling to climb over the railing before supporters on the stage stretched out their hands to help him across. Shina Rambo also received assistance before both eventually joined Governor Adeleke on stage.

The atmosphere became even more lively after Davido embraced his uncle, Governor Adeleke, shortly after reaching the stage.

The duo entertained the cheering crowd as they danced together to Davido’s hit song, Feel, one of the standout tracks from his Grammy-nominated Timeless album. Their energetic display quickly went viral, with many supporters celebrating the close relationship between the singer and the governor.

The rally formed part of Governor Adeleke’s campaign activities as he seeks a second term in office ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

Rally comes days after Davido’s appeal for peaceful election

The campaign appearance also comes shortly after Davido publicly urged residents of Osun State to embrace peace before the election, encouraging voters to reject violence, intimidation and any form of electoral interference.

With political campaigns gathering momentum across the state, the governor is expected to face strong competition from the opposition as parties intensify efforts to win over voters before the August 15 poll.
