Carabao Cup: Alonso names two key Chelsea players to miss Luton Town game

Chelsea head coach, Xabi Alonso, has named two key players to miss his side’s Carabao Cup second round clash against Luton Town on Thursday.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Alonso said both Moises Caicedo and Marco Palestra will miss the Luton Town game.
Caicedo and Palestra were both absent against Fulham on the opening day of Chelsea’s Premier League first game of the season as the Blues won 3-2.
“Not for tomorrow, both won’t make it [against Luton],” Alonso said of Caicedo and Palestra.
“Let’s see, hopefully Moi could make it for the weekend, but we need to check a little bit more with Marco.
“Otherwise, everyone from Monday is okay, Cole [Palmer] is absolutely fine. Penders is part of the squad, so he has an opportunity.”
