BREAKING: ICPC Uncovers Another Fake Agency In SGF Office

The ICPC has uncovered another alleged fake agency operating within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the arrest of its alleged promoter and the suspension of three Permanent Secretaries.

ICPC Chairman, Musa Adamu Aliyu, disclosed this on Friday while briefing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He identified the organisation as the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, allegedly allocated office space within the SGF complex without presidential authorisation.

Aliyu said the discovery followed the commission’s investigation into the fictitious Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council and weaknesses in government procedures.

The commission identified Prince George Buchi Nwabueze as the alleged promoter of the office and said suspected collaborators within the SGF’s office may have facilitated its operation.

Following the briefing, President Tinubu ordered Nwabueze’s immediate arrest and the suspension of three Permanent Secretaries, They are M. S. Danjuma, Engineer Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah.

The ICPC says investigations are continuing, while the President has also directed a forensic audit of government processes to prevent similar abuses.
