BBNaija 11: Martins Iyeh Becomes 1st Housemate Evicted From ‘Show Ya Sef’

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Martins Iyeh, has become the first contestant to leave the reality show after just two weeks in the house.

Martins, a 30-year-old visual storyteller, creative director and model from Kogi State, was evicted during Sunday night’s live show following viewers’ votes.

He was among the 24 housemates unveiled at the launch of the 11th season on July 26, with themed “Everything Is For The Taking,” also known as “Show Ya Sef.”

The season comes with a record N160m prize package, including N100m cash and an SUV, which the remaining housemates are battling to win.

Before entering the house, Martins described himself as a creative who wanted to have fun, showcase his personality and connect with a wider audience.

“I came here to have fun,” he said during his introduction. His interests include basketball, while he humorously listed mind-reading among his hidden talents.

During his brief stint on the show, Martins settled into the house dynamics, bonding with fellow contestants and participating in conversations and social activities that characterised the opening weeks of the competition.

His time in the house also included a birthday celebration organised by his fellow housemates shortly after the season began.

Mercedes performed during the celebration, while other contestants offered prayers and goodwill messages.

Martins’ eviction follows a tense second week in which a large number of housemates faced the possibility of leaving the show.

Sixteen contestants were initially up for eviction before Head of House Sheba exercised her power to save Chimsom Chuka. Season 11’s two Gambits, Aikou and Flora, were also protected from eviction.

With Martins now out of the competition, the remaining housemates will continue their battle for the N160m grand prize as nominations, tasks, alliances and evictions shape the race for the Season 11 crown.
