APC Releases Timetable For 2026 Legislative Primaries In Seven States

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for primary elections ahead of the 2026 legislative elections in Delta, Kogi, Gombe, Bauchi and Kano states.

The party said the timetable covers four State House of Assembly constituencies recently restored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as well as seven constituencies where legislative bye-elections are to be held.

The INEC-restored constituencies are Abraka, Isoko North II and Ughelli South II in Delta State, and Yagba West II in Kogi State.

The APC also listed the constituencies for the legislative bye-elections as Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency in Gombe State; Disina and Sakwa State Constituencies in Bauchi; Udu State Constituency in Delta; and Dawakin Kudu State Constituency in Kano.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, the party directed its state chapters in the affected states to take note of the schedule and make the necessary preparations for the primary elections.

The APC said the timetable was specifically designed to guide the conduct of its primaries for both the restored constituencies and the forthcoming legislative bye-elections.

The development follows INEC’s restoration of the four previously suppressed State House of Assembly constituencies in Delta and Kogi states.

The party urged its members and stakeholders in the affected constituencies to comply with the approved timetable and schedule of activities.
