The newly appointed Secretary to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Comrade Tosin Johnson Adeyanju, has formally assumed office, pledging to contribute his best towards advancing the Commission’s constitutional mandate.
The development was disclosed in a statement signed by the Head of the Information and Public Relations Unit of the Commission, Maryam Umar Yusuf, on Tuesday, following the official handover ceremony held at the Commission’s new boardroom.
Speaking at the ceremony, Adeyanju commended his predecessor, Engr. Joseph Nwaze Okechukwu, for his service to the nation and assured members and staff of his commitment to fostering teamwork in delivering the Commission’s responsibilities.
“I will work collaboratively with the members and staff to advance the Commission’s mandate,” Adeyanju said.
The new secretary also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in him through his appointment, promising to justify the trust placed in him.
In his remarks, the outgoing Secretary, Engr. Joseph Nwaze Okechukwu, thanked the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu, members and staff for the support and cooperation he received during his tenure.

Okechukwu urged the Commission’s workforce to extend the same level of support to his successor to ensure continuity and effective service delivery.
“I thank the Chairman, members and staff of the Commission for the support and cooperation accorded me during my tenure, and I urge everyone to extend the same support to my successor,” he said.
Before his appointment, Adeyanju served as the Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF), where he provided administrative leadership and supervised the implementation of the Fund’s statutory responsibilities.
According to the Commission, Adeyanju’s appointment is expected to strengthen RMAFC’s administrative machinery and enhance the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.
His appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of Engr. Joseph Okechukwu Nwaze and marks the beginning of a new phase in the administrative leadership of the Commission.
