Trump Warns of Assassination Plot Against Him, Reveals U.S. Plans
United States President Donald Trump has revealed that the American military will completely decimate Iran if the Islamic Republic attempts or succeeds in assassinating the sitting president.
The warning marks a severe escalation in tensions between the two nations following a brief ceasefire that Trump now declares is officially finished.
In a message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump revealed that specific retaliatory military plans have already been established to counter any Iranian plots against his life.
“1000 missiles are locked and loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!,” Trump stated.
The American president made it clear that the response would not be a temporary measure, noting that the military has been granted a prolonged window of readiness to execute these orders.
“Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran,” he added.
The remarks came just a day after Trump agreed to continue diplomatic negotiations with Tehran, even while firmly repeating his stance that the previous truce had collapsed. This collapse comes only weeks after Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding designed to foster regional peace.
Trump noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran had asked the U.S. to continue talks. “We have agreed to do so, but the United States has stated to them, in no uncertain terms, that the Cease Fire is OVER!” Trump posted.
He had previously expressed immense frustration with the diplomatic track during a recent NATO summit, where he labeled ongoing deliberations with Tehran as a complete waste of time.
In response to the threats and the declaration that the truce has ended, Iran pushed back on Saturday, maintaining that it has fully abided by its diplomatic obligations.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi insisted that Tehran has so far kept its word, turning the blame instead toward Washington. Araghchi accused the U.S. Treasury Secretary of violating Paragraph 9 of the signed memorandum of understanding, which dictates that Iran maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program while the United States abstains from deploying additional regional forces or imposing fresh sanctions.
