Police Doctor Promoted from Inspector to Superintendent in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has decorated its medical officer, Dr. Opeyemi Ojo, with the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) following his promotion and conversion from the Inspectorate cadre.

The decoration ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja, where the Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, formally adorned the officer with his new rank.

According to the Command, the promotion followed the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and the approval of the Police Service Commission for Dr. Ojo’s conversion to the rank of Superintendent of Police.

Speaking during the ceremony, CP Fatai described the promotion as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Ojo’s professionalism, commitment, and significant contributions to healthcare delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.

He urged the newly promoted Superintendent to remain dedicated to his duties, uphold the ethics of the medical profession, and continue to exemplify the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.

The Commissioner also congratulated SP (Dr.) Opeyemi Ojo on the milestone, expressing confidence that he would continue to render quality service to both the Force and the nation.

The Lagos State Police Command, through its spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, also congratulated the officer and wished him continued success in his career and service to Nigeria.
