The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the ruling party, promoting internal democracy and supporting President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as he marked one year in office.

He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his confidence and support, while also thanking members of the party’s National Working Committee, governors, elected officials, party leaders and supporters across the country for contributing to the party’s progress.

Reflecting on his first year in office, Yilwatda said the APC leadership had focused on consolidating unity, strengthening the party’s institutional framework and promoting inclusive leadership.
“Over the past twelve months, we have worked deliberately to consolidate unity, reinforce the institutional foundations of our party, expand consultation, and foster a culture of inclusion and collective responsibility,” he stated.
He added that the APC had continued to demonstrate its dominance in Nigeria’s political landscape through a series of electoral victories recorded during the period.
“Our impressive electoral victories within this period are clear evidence of the confidence Nigerians continue to repose in our party. These successes belong to every committed party member and reaffirm that the APC remains the preferred vehicle for progressive governance and national development,” Yilwatda said.
The APC chairman noted that the anniversary was not only an opportunity to reflect on the party’s achievements but also a call to intensify efforts toward building a stronger political organisation.
“Yet, this anniversary is not merely a moment for reflection; it is a renewed call to greater service. We will continue to strengthen internal democracy, modernise party administration, deepen engagement with our members, and position the APC for even greater success as we support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
Yilwatda also pledged to continue leading the party with integrity and transparency.
“As we begin another year of service, I reaffirm my pledge to lead with humility, fairness, transparency, and unwavering dedication,” he stated.
He expressed optimism about the future of the ruling party, saying, “Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more united APC and contribute meaningfully to the peace, stability, and prosperity of our beloved country.”
