Senator Adams Oshiomhole has identified insecurity as the biggest political challenge facing President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking on TVC News’ Beyond the Headlines, the former APC national chairman said the President had already implemented key economic reforms but warned that insecurity remained the greatest obstacle to national progress.

He urged Tinubu to demand measurable results from the military and other security agencies.

“The President should breathe down the necks of the service chiefs. There must be clear benchmarks for ending insecurity,” he said.

Oshiomhole praised the recruitment of additional military personnel, the creation of new army divisions and increased operations by security agencies.

He also supported a tougher approach against violent criminals, insisting that decisive action was necessary to restore public confidence and unlock the full benefits of the administration’s economic reforms.
