A Nigerian pastor has been spotted in a viral video violently being assaulted by a crowd in an incident captured on video, after accusations circulated that he was involved in ritual sacrifice and using church members for money rituals.
The video at our disposal from the scene shows the unknown pastor, dressed in white, on the ground surrounded by a group of people, with several individuals seen striking him as bystanders looked on.
The confrontation reportedly took place in a public area near what appears to be a market or roadside gathering.
The claims that prompted the attack, including allegations that he used church members for ritual purposes, have not been independently verified, and no law enforcement or religious authority has confirmed the accusations or the identity of the man involved.
It remains unclear whether police intervened during or after the incident, whether the man survived the assault, or whether any arrests have been made in connection with the attack.
