Lagos Publishes 2026 Merit Admission List for Model Colleges

The Lagos State Government has announced the release of the 2026 merit admission list for candidates who took part in the entrance screening examination into the state’s Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools.

The announcement was made by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, which advised successful candidates to verify their admission status through the Lagos State Examinations Board’s online portal.

In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, candidates offered admission were directed to report to their assigned schools from Monday, August 31, 2026, to obtain their admission letters and complete all registration formalities.

According to the ministry, the merit list was released after the successful conclusion of the screening exercise conducted for pupils seeking admission into the state’s Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools.

Parents and candidates were encouraged to check the admission portal promptly and follow the prescribed admission procedures to secure their places.

“The Ministry hereby informs members of the public, especially candidates who participated in the May 2026 screening test into Lagos State Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools, that the merit admission list has been released,” the statement said.

The ministry noted that admitted candidates can access their admission status through the Lagos State Examinations Board portal before proceeding to their respective schools for documentation.
