Jared Leto – The Trumpet Newspaper Nigeria

Hollywood star and Academy Award winner Jared Leto has strongly denied a series of sexual misconduct allegations after a new investigative report featured claims from 10 women, including four who alleged incidents occurred when they were teenagers.
The allegations, which reportedly span between 2002 and 2016, accuse the actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman of using his celebrity status to pursue inappropriate relationships with underage or vulnerable young women.
Key Highlights:
- Jared Leto denies all allegations, calling them “absolutely and categorically false.”
- Investigative report features accounts from 10 women.
- Four women claim the alleged incidents occurred when they were teenagers.
- Report says parts of the allegations were supported by messages, photographs and witness interviews.
- No criminal charges have been filed against the actor.
According to the report, one woman alleged she was sexually assaulted in a motel bathroom when she was 17, while another claimed Leto threatened her with sexual assault after she was left alone with him in a hotel room at age 19.
A third woman alleged she had a sexual relationship with Leto in California when she was 17, an act that could constitute statutory rape under California law. Another accused the actor of grooming her through repeated sexually explicit phone calls from the age of 16 before allegedly attempting to make her sign a non-disclosure agreement, which she said she refused.
Several other women interviewed claimed they received sexually explicit phone calls from Leto while they were teenagers. One also alleged he made inappropriate sexual remarks to her when she was 14 before asking a security guard to escort her backstage during a concert.

The investigation stated that aspects of the women’s accounts were corroborated through text messages, photographs and interviews with friends, relatives and former members of Leto’s touring crew. Two former crew members also claimed there had been internal concerns over what they described as the musician’s interactions with teenage girls, including invitations backstage and to private residences.
Leto did not respond before publication of the investigation. However, after the report was released, his representatives issued a statement on his behalf rejecting every allegation.
“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false,” the statement read.
The latest accusations come after similar allegations surfaced in a separate media investigation in 2025, which Leto also denied.
The 54-year-old actor is best known for his Oscar-winning role in Dallas Buyers Club and appearances in Fight Club, Blade Runner 2049 and Suicide Squad. He is also the lead vocalist of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, which is scheduled to tour Europe and the United Kingdom next year.
At the time of filing this report, no criminal charges had been announced against Leto, who continues to deny any wrongdoing.
