The governor made the declaration during an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of the Adamawa State ultra-modern stadium and the new National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Permanent Orientation Camp, where he assessed the progress and quality of work.

Governor Fintiri said his administration remains committed to completing all ongoing capital projects before the end of its tenure, describing infrastructure development as a central pillar of his government’s development agenda.

According to him, the prompt payment of contractors reflects the government’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure while eliminating unnecessary delays in project execution.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the pace and standard of work at both project sites but directed the contractors to sustain the momentum and ensure completion before the September deadline.

He warned that his administration would not tolerate avoidable delays, stressing that all contractors must adhere to the terms of their contracts and deliver projects that meet approved specifications.

During the inspection, contractors and project engineers conducted the governor and members of his delegation around various sections of the stadium and the NYSC orientation camp, assuring them that work was progressing steadily and would be completed within the agreed timeframe.

Speaking to journalists after the inspection, Governor Fintiri said he is determined to leave behind a legacy of modern infrastructure that would improve the welfare of residents and accelerate the socio-economic development of Adamawa State.

He noted that the ultra-modern stadium would enhance sports development, encourage youth participation, and provide opportunities for discovering and nurturing talented athletes.

He added that the permanent NYSC orientation camp would offer a more conducive environment for the training and welfare of corps members deployed to the state.

The governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prudent management of public resources, transparency, and the delivery of projects with lasting benefits for the people of Adamawa State.

Governor Fintiri was accompanied on the inspection by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta; the Chief of Staff, Edgar Sunday; the Secretary to the State Government, Auwal Tukur; and other senior government officials.
