BBNaija S11: London-Based Temi Nkem Snaps After Housemates Complain About Her Accent

Drama briefly unfolded in the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house after housemates struggled to understand instructions read out by contestant Temi Nkem, prompting a frustrated reaction from the London-based housemate.

The incident occurred on the opening day of the “Show Ya Sef” edition after Big Brother directed one of the contestants to collect the week’s guidelines from the Diary Room and relay them to the rest of the house.

Temi Nkem, who reportedly received her education in the United Kingdom, volunteered for the task and quickly retrieved the instructions.

However, as she began reading the guidelines to the other housemates, several contestants repeatedly indicated they were having difficulty understanding her pronunciation and delivery, leading to confusion and interruptions.

The situation soon became heated, with voices rising as some housemates sought clarification on the instructions.

Clearly irritated by the repeated requests, Temi Nkem responded: “Are you children that you don’t understand English? How is it possible that you don’t understand English?”

The exchange quickly became a talking point in the house, with contestants discussing differences in accents, communication styles and the diverse backgrounds represented among the housemates.

Big Brother Naija Season 11 premiered on Sunday with 24 housemates competing for the grand prize of N160 million.
