Spanish football giants FC Barcelona have expressed grief over the death of a worker involved in the ongoing renovation of the Spotify Camp Nou, following a workplace accident at the stadium.
The club disclosed the development in a statement shared on its official X handle on Saturday, July 25 describing the incident as a tragic loss.
“FC Barcelona deeply regrets the death of the worker who lost his life yesterday in the workplace accident that occurred during the renovation works at Spotify Camp Nou,” the statement said.

The La Liga champions extended condolences to the deceased’s family, friends and colleagues.
“The Club wishes to express its deepest condolences and extend its heartfelt support to his family, friends, and colleagues,” Barcelona added.
The club also said its President, Joan Laporta, had personally reached out to the bereaved family on behalf of the organisation.
“FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta wishes to personally convey his condolences to the family and places himself at their disposal on behalf of the entire Club,” the statement said.
