2026 World Cup: Three quarter-final fixtures confirmed
Belgium will play Spain in the quarter-final of the 2026 World Cup.
This follows their 4-1 thrashing of co-hosts USA in their last-16 clash on Tuesday morning.
Charles De Ketelaere opened the scoring early, before Malik Tillman’s deflected free-kick levelled the game.
Less than two minutes later, De Ketelaere headed home Trossard’s cross.
Substitute Hans Vanaken’s long-range effort trickled beyond Tim Ream, before Romelu Lukaku added a fourth.
Belgium will now take on Spain, who beat Portugal 1-0 on Monday night.
Mikel Merino came off the bench to score the winning goal in the 91st minute of the match.
In the other quarter-final fixtures that have been confirmed, England face Norway, and France will take on Morocco.
