Fashola: He Saw Me On Lagos Continental And Said “Desmond, I’ve Seen Your Mail, Thank You”—Elliot
Actor and politician Desmond Elliot has shared details of the efforts he made to gain the attention of influential political figures as he sought to transition from a successful career in the Nigerian film industry into public service…..WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
The Lagos State lawmaker disclosed that one of the strategies he adopted during the early stages of his political ambition was consistently reaching out to former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola through email.
Elliot made the revelation while speaking on the Morayo Afolabi-Brown Podcast on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. During the conversation, he reflected on the challenges and determination that defined his move from Nollywood into the political arena.
The lawmaker explained that at the time, he was eager to contribute to public service and believed that establishing contact with key political leaders was an important step toward achieving that goal. As a result, he repeatedly sent emails to Fashola, who was serving as governor of Lagos State at the time, in the hope that his messages would be noticed.
