“He wants my sister out because she refused to wash his sons’ clothes” – Second wife cries out

A Nigerian lady has cried out over a disagreement with her husband after he allegedly demanded that her younger sister leave their home for refusing to take over the household chores of his twin sons.
The story was shared on Facebook by Eunice Obaro Pen-Ogbolu, who narrated the experience of a woman who married her husband as his second wife.
‘I Married My Husband as His Second Wife’
According to the post, the woman’s husband has 10-year-old twin sons from his late wife.
Since becoming part of the family, she said she had been trying to teach the boys basic household responsibilities but claimed her husband considered her approach too strict.
“One morning, after my husband left for work, I told his sons to stay back from school because they hadn’t completed their chores,” she wrote.
However, the situation reportedly changed when her husband returned home to pick up something he had forgotten.
He was allegedly unhappy to find that the boys were still at home and personally took them to school without consulting his wife.
‘My Husband Started Doing All Their Chores’
The woman said her husband subsequently began waking up early every morning to handle all the chores belonging to his sons himself.
“From that day onward, my husband started waking up early every morning and doing all their chores himself,” she stated.
She later gave birth to a baby, after which her younger sister came to stay with the family to assist her during her postpartum recovery.
‘My Sister Came to Help Me With the Baby’
Her husband reportedly stopped doing his sons’ chores after her sister arrived and began expecting the younger woman to take over.
She said she reminded him that her sister had come to assist her and care for the baby, rather than work as a housekeeper for his children.
“I reminded him that my sister came to help me with the baby, not to become a housekeeper for his sons,” she wrote.
The disagreement allegedly angered her husband, who then demanded that her sister leave the house.
‘I Stood My Ground and Refused’
The woman said she refused to allow her sister to leave, insisting that she had come specifically to support her during her recovery.
“I stood my ground and refused,” she stated.
She claimed that her husband had since stopped speaking to her and had been giving her the silent treatment.
“Since then, my husband has been giving me the silent treatment and refuses to speak to me,” she wrote.
‘Was I Wrong?’
The woman admitted that she was unsure how to handle the situation and questioned whether she should have allowed her sister to take over the boys’ chores to avoid conflict.
“Honestly, I don’t even know what to do anymore. Was I wrong to stand my ground, or should I have allowed my sister to help with his son’s chores to keep the peace?” she asked.
She concluded by seeking advice from social media users.
“What would you do if you were in my shoes?”
