Dayo Israel deletes post on SUVs gifted by Remi Tinubu amid backlash

The All Progressives Congress, APC, National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, has deleted a social media post showing brand-new SUVs reportedly gifted to party youth leaders by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.
A check by DAILY POST showed that the post was no longer available on Israel’s page amid growing criticism from Nigerians, media commentators and opposition figures over the reported vehicle gifts.
The backlash comes amid the severe economic conditions in the country, with critics questioning why the gesture was limited to only a few while others deal with the rising cost of living.
The development comes hours after the First Lady confirmed donating SUVs to the APC National Youth Wing to support the party’s grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mrs Tinubu made the disclosure on Sunday, during a campaign strategy meeting with regional APC youth leaders led by Israel at the State House, Abuja.
