Coordinated, Large‑Scale Attacks Expected South of Jos — September 21, 2026
TruthNigeria is issuing one of the most urgent terror alerts we have ever released.
Credible intelligence received by TruthNigeria indicates that hundreds of armed Fulani Ethnic Militia (FEM) fighters have assembled south of Jos and are preparing for coordinated, large‑scale attacks in the coming hours.

- Bukuru Market
These are major population centers, not isolated villages. Thousands of civilians could be at risk. Intelligence suggests FEM fighters have converged on Plateau State from multiple locations across Northern Nigeria in preparation for these attacks.
BACKGROUND: WEEKEND VIOLENCE
This threat follows waves of violence across Plateau State over the weekend. TruthNigeria reporters witnessed attacks south of Jos on Sunday, including armed militants advancing toward communities as civilians fled and Nigerian security forces responded. A pastor and church employee were among those killed.
TruthNigeria sources report that the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services (DSS), Mobile Police, and local community defenders have been engaging attackers across multiple fronts.
We commend the extraordinary courage of the Nigerian security personnel and community defenders who have stood their ground under fire to protect civilians.
But they need reinforcements NOW.
TruthNigeria urgently calls upon Nigeria’s federal security leadership to immediately reinforce the forces defending Barkin Ladi, Mangu, Riyom, Bukuru and surrounding communities.
