Former Adamawa Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa Dumps APC, Joins Haske’s APM

Former Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and serving member representing Yola South Constituency, Kabiru Mijinyawa, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and moved to the Action Peoples Movement (APM).
Mijinyawa is reported to have pitched his political tent with the APM ahead of the 2027 general elections, where the party’s governorship candidate, Abdulrahman Haske is seeking to build a strong political platform.
The development is expected to trigger fresh political realignments in Adamawa State, particularly as political parties and aspirants intensify consultations ahead of the 2027 elections.

His reported defection comes amid growing political activities in Adamawa State, with politicians and political groups increasingly reviewing their alliances ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The former speaker’s decision to leave the APC for the APM is expected to generate reactions among political stakeholders as the race for 2027 gathers momentum.
More details are expected to emerge on the circumstances surrounding Mijinyawa’s resignation from the APC and his new political alliance with Haske’s APM.
