EPL: Gallagher reveals what Man City’s punishment would be after 114 rule breach

Oasis icon and diehard fan of Manchester City, Liam Gallagher has revealed the possible punishment that awaits the club after they were found guilty of 114 Premier League rule breaches.

Gallagher indicated that a senior official involved in the proceedings spoke to him about the disciplinary measures the club would encounter as a result of the ruling.

Manchester City were found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges filed against them by the Premier League on Friday.

The Premier League has not yet issued a statement on the matter, as the specific sanctions for City remain undetermined.

The eight-time English champions are expected to appeal the verdict, a process anticipated to extend the proceedings into 2027.

However, Gallagher asserts that should City’s appeal prove unsuccessful, the club will not forfeit the trophies acquired between 2009 and 2018, nor will they face expulsion from the Premier League.

Instead, the Oasis frontman contends that his club will be subjected to a transfer restriction and a monetary penalty while maintaining their position in England’s premier division.

Gallagher posted on X on Sunday evening, “Just been told by someone in a very very high position if we lose our appeal which we won’t we’ll be getting a FINE and TRANSFER BAN and that’s it so all you desperate neurotic S****BUBBLES hush it up to ras MCFC LG x.”

When questioned in subsequent replies regarding the propriety of disclosing such information, Gallagher responded: “Just said it keep up.”

BBC Sport similarly reported comparable findings over the weekend, noting that there exists minimal inclination within the Premier League—both among the organization itself and its constituent clubs to revoke City’s previously earned trophies.

The club secured eight significant titles during the nine-year period in which they are alleged to have committed regulatory infractions.
