Davido, Tems, Phyno Lead Nigerian Winners At AFRIMMA 2026

Nigerian music stars dominated several categories at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), with Davido, Tems, Phyno and other entertainers emerging among the winners.

The awards ceremony was held on September 12, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, with artistes and entertainers from across Africa and the diaspora recognised in 41 categories.

Davido claimed the Album of the Year award for his project 5ive, while Tems was named Best Female West Africa. Ruger won Best Male West Africa, with Phyno taking home the Best Male Rap Act award.

Mercy Chinwo also emerged as Best Gospel Act, while several other Nigerian artistes, entertainers and industry professionals received awards across different categories.
