US President Donald Trump has responded to Iran’s demands for compensation, saying the nation will also have to pay for the damage it caused.

US President Donald Trump has responded to Iran’s terms for a peace deal by demanding that Iran compensate people killed in wars, attacks and protests, remarks that could hamper efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump’s proposal, which he had never made before, was a response to Tehran’s demands for war reparations and the lifting of economic sanctions.

He said at the White House that they will demand compensation for the damage caused over the past 50 years, from the deaths of civilian protesters to the US military personnel stationed in the area.
