Arsenal have reached an agreement to sell defensive midfielder, Christian Norgaard to Everton ahead of Bruno Guimaraes’ arrival at the Premier League North London club.

According to The Athletic, Norgaard now appears set to leave Arsenal as Mikel Arteta’s side are closing in on a deal to sign Guimaraes from Newcastle United this summer.

The report added that Arsenal want to revamp their midfield options before the new season starts and have agreed on a £7m deal with Everton for Norgaard’s transfer.

Norgaard joined Arsenal from Premier League club Brentford just a year ago for an initial fee of £10million.

The Danish star, however, found minutes hard to come by in Arteta’s squad last season as he made 20 appearances in all competitions.

The 32-year-old only started just one Premier League game for Arsenal as they secured their first title in 22 years.
