Tinubu approves construction, rehabilitation of eight road projects [FULL LIST]

President Bola Tinubu has approved eight road projects and several trailer park concessions worth over N438 billion across seven states of the federation.

The Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo made this disclosure on Wednesday immediately after the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

DAILY POST reports that the meeting was presided over by President Bola Tinubu.

The projects cover Osun, Ogun, Rivers, Ekiti, Niger, Lagos, Oyo and Abia states.

Recall that the President also ordered that funds recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) be diverted to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, to sustain its growing funding obligations.

Also at the FEC meeting, Tinubu approved key projects in the health sector, including the overhaul of the National Hospital, Abuja, and the construction of a N302 billion cancer treatment centre.

N159.83 billion for the reconstruction of the Ado-Ekiti–Iyin–Aramoko–Itawure–Osun border road in Ekiti State.

N54.12 billion for the variation order for rehabilitation of the Abeokuta–Iboro–Ilaro Road in Ogun State.

N74.51 billion for the reconstruction of the 15 km Port Harcourt–Eleme Junction–Onne Port Junction section of the East-West Road in Rivers State.

N54.52 billion for the phase II rehabilitation of the Ado-Ekiti–Afe Babalola University Road (Ekiti State, part of Ado–Ijan–Iluomobi–Imesi–Ondo border route)

N94.24 billion for the construction of the Ilara–Iselu Road, Phases II–V in Ogun State.

Highway and trailer park concessions (public-private partnership):

N56.75 billion for the development of the 7.9 km Dikko–Maje section of the Suleja–Minna Road in Niger State.

N96.43 billion for the operation and maintenance of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway

N19.70 billion for the development of a greenfield trailer park at Aro-Ngwa in Abia State.
