Sanwo-Olu Meets Trump’s Adviser Massad Boulos Over Lagos-US Economic Ties

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has met with the Senior Special Advisor to US President Donald Trump for Africa, Massad Boulos, to explore opportunities for deeper economic cooperation and investment in Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a statement posted on his X handle on Friday, following his meeting with Boulos at the US Department of State in Washington, D.C.
The governor said discussions focused on strengthening Nigeria-US relations and leveraging the partnership to attract more investment and advance technology cooperation in Lagos.

He said the meeting was aimed at building relationships capable of delivering tangible benefits to residents of the state.
“We looked at opportunities to deepen economic cooperation, attract more investment and strengthen technology partnerships for Lagos through stronger Nigeria-U.S. ties,” Sanwo-Olu said.
According to him, the state government would continue to pursue partnerships that create opportunities and improve the lives of Lagos residents.
“Our focus is to build relationships that create real pathways and improve the lives of our people,” he said.
Sanwo-Olu added, “That is what we will continue to pursue, wherever it takes us.”
