Chelsea produced the standout result among Sunday’s Premier League fixtures, defeating Brighton & Hove Albion 4-3 at Stamford Bridge, while Leeds United and Brentford played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road and Sunderland edged Fulham 1-0 at the Stadium of Light.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea recovered from an early setback to claim a convincing 4-3 victory over Brighton. The visitors took the lead early, but Chelsea responded strongly and turned the contest around with an impressive attacking display. The Blues established control of the game before half-time and maintained their advantage after the break to secure all three points.

The result provided Chelsea with another positive start to the new Premier League campaign, while Brighton were left to reflect on a match in which they were unable to protect their early advantage. Chelsea’s attacking quality ultimately proved decisive as they scored four goals against the visitors.

At Elland Road, Leeds United were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford in a closely contested encounter. Brentford took the lead during the match, putting Leeds under pressure and forcing the home side to chase the game.

Leeds, however, responded after the break and eventually found the equaliser to rescue a point on home soil. The result means both sides remain unbeaten after their opening two league matches, with Leeds showing resilience to recover from falling behind.

Meanwhile, Sunderland secured their first Premier League victory of the campaign with a 1-0 win over Fulham at the Stadium of Light.

The game remained tightly contested for long periods, with neither side able to make the breakthrough early on. Sunderland eventually found the decisive goal in the second half and then held firm to claim all three points.

The victory represents an important result for Sunderland as they continue their return to the Premier League, while Fulham were left without a point after failing to find a response following Sunderland’s breakthrough.
