Warri Peace Ambassadors Endorse Sheriff Mulade for 2027 Reps Seat
As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather pace, the Warri Peace Ambassadors, a socio-political group in Delta State, has endorsed Chief Sheriff Mulade, PhD, for the House of Representatives seat representing the Warri Federal Constituency.
The group also appealed to the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo ethnic nationalities to maintain unity and peaceful coexistence as political activities begin to intensify ahead of the polls.
In a statement signed by its President, Mrs. Tessy Oki, and Secretary, Friday Ugedi, the group described the 2027 elections as an important opportunity for voters to elect leaders capable of promoting development and protecting the interests of the people.
According to the group, Mulade’s years of grassroots involvement and community advocacy make him a suitable candidate for the National Assembly position.
The statement noted that the group carefully reviewed individuals expected to contest the seat before arriving at its decision to support Mulade’s aspiration.
The Warri Peace Ambassadors said the aspirant has remained accessible to ordinary citizens and has consistently identified with the needs of people across the constituency.
They added that his reputation as a peace advocate and community leader has earned him support among residents.
The group further praised Mulade for promoting harmony among the different ethnic groups in the constituency through youth empowerment, sports initiatives and educational programmes.
According to the statement, his efforts over the years have contributed to strengthening peaceful relations within communities in Warri Federal Constituency.
The group stressed that peace and unity remain essential for the progress and political stability of the area, urging residents to avoid divisive politics as the election season approaches.
It also called on supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to rally behind Mulade, describing him as a leader with the experience and exposure needed to provide effective representation.
“This is not a call based on sentiment, but one centered on competence, capability and practical knowledge,” the group stated.
The Warri Peace Ambassadors expressed confidence that Mulade would prioritize people-oriented governance if elected, adding that the constituency has an opportunity to embrace positive leadership in 2027.
