Ghanaian musician Oseikrom Sikanii has accused some Ghanaians of being envious of his success instead of celebrating his achievements.
During a TikTok live session, the musician expressed disappointment that many people do not appreciate him and instead question how he acquired his wealth.
He referenced the saying, “The nose doesn’t stand unconcerned when the eyes are crying,” arguing that Ghanaians do not apply the meaning of the proverb. He said people rather follow the belief that “The chicken is not blamed for the crime committed by the snake.”
During the live video, Oseikrom Sikanii showed his followers some of his expensive belongings while defending his lifestyle. He said the items he owns are genuine and were bought at high prices.
He urged people not to compare their lives to his because his success came through his own journey.
The musician also addressed claims that he may have acquired his wealth through questionable means. He insisted that his money comes from music and rejected suggestions that he has hidden sources of income.
Oseikrom Sikanii said repeated calls for investigations into his wealth, including suggestions that agencies such as the FBI should look into him, show that some people are uncomfortable with his achievements.
He maintained that his success is a result of his music career and hard work.
