Miebi Albert Emerges NDC Candidate for Southern Ijaw Constituency I
Hon. Miebi Albert has emerged as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer for Southern Ijaw Constituency I after the party concluded its primary election in Bayelsa State.
Albert’s emergence marks a key step for the party as preparations begin for the general election in the constituency.
In a statement issued after the primary, Albert expressed gratitude to the leadership of the NDC, party members and supporters for their confidence in his candidacy.
He described the outcome as an important milestone and thanked the party for conducting what he called a fair democratic process.
Albert also acknowledged stakeholders, friends and supporters who backed his campaign throughout the primary.
He extended appreciation to other aspirants who contested for the ticket and called for unity among members ahead of the general election.
According to him, the contest is over and attention must now shift to strengthening the party and building support across the constituency.
“There is no victor and no vanquished. The primaries are over, and now is the time for unity, reconciliation and collective action,” he said.
Albert dedicated his victory to supporters who contributed to the campaign through their efforts, prayers and commitment.
He pledged to provide inclusive leadership and remain focused on service, accountability and development for residents of Southern Ijaw Constituency I.
He also urged party members to remain united as the campaign moves into the next stage.
Political activities are expected to intensify in Southern Ijaw in the coming weeks as parties begin mobilization ahead of the election.
Albert’s emergence places him at the center of the constituency’s political contest, with attention now turning to the NDC’s campaign strategy and preparations for the polls in Bayelsa State.
