How I forgot over ₦1 million worth of goods on a bus — Lady cries for help

A Nigerian businesswoman has shared an emotional video after allegedly leaving goods worth more than ₦1 million inside a commercial bus in Lagos, saying extreme exhaustion caused the costly mistake.

The visibly distressed entrepreneur said she had been working tirelessly without getting enough sleep despite repeated warnings from her family and customers to slow down.

She feared the loss could have a devastating impact on her business.

“I hardly sleep”

In the viral video, the woman admitted that she had ignored repeated advice to take a break from work.

Somebody call God to have mercy on me. Family has been telling me, ‘Rest.’ Even my customers have been saying, ‘Rest.’ I’m forming hardworking and I work fast. I hardly sleep. I don’t sleep during the day. I don’t sleep at night.”

She explained that she travelled to Lagos to source skincare products directly from suppliers, including original sunscreens she intended to resell to her customers.

According to her, she purchased 20 pieces of La Roche sunscreen at ₦22,000 each, 20 pieces of Nivea sunscreen, Skin Aqua products, face steaming machines, gummies and several other items.

The businesswoman estimated the total value of the goods at over ₦1 million.

“I stupidly came down from the bus”

She said exhaustion caught up with her while travelling in a commercial bus, causing her to fall asleep during the journey.

Sleep caught me. I even put my phone inside my bag and zipped it tightly so that I would not lose it because I was sleeping off.”

She explained that the cartons containing the products were stored inside the vehicle, but she forgot to take them when she got off the bus.

Do you know that I stupidly came down from the bus forgetting everything I bought? This one pain me.”

The woman said she only remembered the missing goods after arriving home, changing her clothes, eating and lying down to rest.

When I opened my eyes, I said, ‘Where’s my package?’ That was when I remembered I did not carry it.”

She added that she immediately began travelling back towards Mile 2 in the hope of recovering the items.

“If I don’t see it, I’ll go sick, and I might even pack my business.”
