Also at the meeting were the party’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu; other members of the National Working Committee (NWC); the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mao Ohabunwa, and a host of other party leaders.
Part of the agenda of the meeting is the presentation of Certificates of Return to candidates who emerged from the primaries ahead of the 2027 general election.
Parallel Meeting
Meanwhile, the faction of the PDP, led by Kabiru Turaki, also held its own meeting at a separate venue and issued Certificates of Return to candidates elected under its faction.
Turaki, who presented the certificates to the candidates, told them that before their names are submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), they must sign an undertaking not to defect from the PDP after winning the election.
The event, which was held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, had in attendance leaders and stakeholders of the party.
