College of Health Tech Takum suspends relationship activities over ongoing strike

The Relationship Board Association of the College of Health Technology, Takum, Taraba State, has announced the temporary suspension of all relationship-related activities in the institution following the ongoing industrial action embarked upon by the academic and non-academic staff unions of the school.
The association’s chairman, Musa Ibrahim, announced the suspension in a notice dated November 6, 2026, addressed to all members and students.
According to the notice, the suspension takes immediate effect and will remain in force until further notice, pending the resumption of normal academic activities and an official directive from the College Management and the association.
Ibrahim directed members and students to refrain from organising, attending or participating in any relationship-related gatherings, meetings, programmes or events throughout the strike period.
“The decision was taken to ensure safety, maintain order and promote compliance with the institution’s directives while the industrial action continues,” the chairman explained.
The chairman appealed to members and students to cooperate with the directive, assuring them that further updates would be communicated once the strike is called off and normal academic activities resume.
He also emphasised the association’s commitment to the welfare and stability of the college community.
