Benue Links locates deceased passenger’s family after public appeal

Benue Links Nigeria Limited has provided further details regarding the case of a passenger who died while travelling aboard one of its buses, addressing public concerns about the efforts made to locate the deceased’s family.

In a statement issued by the company’s management, Benue Links said the contact information provided by the passenger for relatives could not be reached despite several attempts by the company.

According to the statement, this challenge led management to seek public assistance through social media platforms in order to identify and contact the family members.

The company announced that the deceased passenger’s family has now been successfully located and informed.

Benue Links further stated that it facilitated the transportation of the corpse to Korinya, the deceased’s hometown.

The company added that the body was deposited in a morgue and that all associated morgue fees were paid pending burial arrangements to be determined by the family.

Management expressed appreciation to members of the public for their concern, support and cooperation throughout the process.

The company also reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare, dignity and respectful treatment of its passengers and customers.
