Ayo Fayose made Makinde Governor through me – Isaac opens up [VIDEO]
Popular businessman man, Isaac Fayose has claimed that his elder brother and former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose made Seyi Makinde governor in 2019.
DAILY POST reports that Fayose and Makinde have been at loggerheads since the duo fell out over political differences.
Wading into the controversy, Isaac Fayose in a post on his official Facebook page explained how the former governor of Ekiti State spearheaded the making of Makinde the state governor.
“Ayo Fayose made Seyi Makinde governor through me over 7 years ago. I was party to all that transpired between them.
“In this fight between my brother and Governor Makinde, I am going to support Ayo Fayose”, Isaac claimed.
He further recalled how himself and the former governor took parts in critical meetings that led to the emergence of Makinde as Oyo State Governor.
“Makinde, do you remember the first cow we killed at my resort in Ring Road, Ibadan while planning to make you a governor?
“Ayo Fayose made you Oyo State Governor, I’m not supporting him, I’m just being fair among both of you.
“Do you remember, Victor Enahoro, Anthony Enahoro’s son? We were all at the meeting that brought you as governor. I went to my brother and begged him on your behalf and he did the needful”, he said.
Isaac urged the Oyo State Governor to apologize to Fayose, who had vowed to take the state back from him in 2027.
“I understand Fayose’s anger. Because he put you there and now you neglected him, he wants to take Ole Osa back”, he added.
