New episodes of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 are currently debuting on Crunchyroll each Friday. Episodes are released the same day as in Japan. That means that fans can expect season 3, episode 8 to airon May 24, 2024, at 8:30 AM Pacific (11:30 AM Eastern). Because of the rapid turnaround, the episode will initially be available only in Japanese with subtitles. Fortunately, the dub for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 has begun airing, and is only 2 weeks behind the subbed version. That means fans watching the dub can expect season 3, episode 6 to air on May 24 as well.
Episode 7 saw Hinata’s small group traveling through the Kingdom of Blumund, which has benefitted greatly from its close relations with Tempest. Hinata found a tavern serving ramen and gyoza, and was thrilled to find a taste of home had somehow made its way to this new world. Her group also marveled at the roads that Tempest had built, with their anti-magic fields that prevent monster attacks and the resources available for travelers that can be found along the roads. All in all, they were very impressed, and began to consider Rimuru really did want peace with humans.
However, another group of Holy Knights, dispatched by the Seven Luminaries, were approaching Tempest from a different angle, and their aggressive movements soon provoked a response from Shion and her squadron of goblin warriors. Using weapons laced with a sleeping drug, Shion’s group made quick work of the Holy Knights, due largely to their extreme regenerative abilities. However, Hinata’s group diverted course to aid their comrades, and arrived just as Rimuru and his top lieutenants made it to the scene, setting up for a battle between Hinata and Rimuru.
Episode 8 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 is entitled “Misunderstanding.” Based on manga chapter 93, fans can expect to see some epic fights, including the long-awaited showdown between Hinata and Rimuru. Hinata has a powerful transformation to pull out, granting her holy attributes and anti-monster armor. That, combined with her extensive battle experience, could make this a very tough fight for Rimuru, even knowing how much more powerful he is since the last time that they clashed. Shion will also have her own battle going on, taking the best the Holy Knights can throw at her.
The machinations of the Seven Luminaries have managed to force Hinata and Rimuru into battle against one another, but there’s still hope that this can be resolved without anyone having to kill or be killed. Fans will just have to find out in the next episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
