Veteran Nigerian rapper Olusegun Osaniyi, popularly known as Lord of Ajasa, has celebrated becoming a United States citizen.
The rapper shared the news on his social media page alongside a picture of himself expressing his excitement and pride over becoming an American citizen.
In a video circulating online, Lord of Ajasa was seen alongside a woman, holding his citizenship envelope and an American flag while beaming with joy after completing the naturalisation process.
The development marks a significant milestone for the veteran rapper, who has continued to share moments from his life with his followers on social media.
Nigerian celebrities with US citizenship
He joins other Nigerian entertainers who have also publicly announced their US citizenship in recent years.
Last year, actress Sonia Ogiri announced that she had officially become a US citizen. She shared photos of herself at a US government office and promised to document and share her citizenship journey with her followers.
In April 2025, dancer Korra Obidi also became a US citizen. The dancer revealed that she was among several immigrants who were sworn in as citizens of the United States.
Lord of Ajasa’s announcement has since added another familiar Nigerian entertainment figure to the list of celebrities who have acquired American citizenship.
