The People’s Elephant lost 1-0 to their hosts in a Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 10 encounter at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.

Jofrank Istifanus’ 23rd minute strike separated both teams on the night.

Deutsch claimed Nasarawa United took advantage of their only real chance of the game to secure the maximum points.

“It was a very tough game for us today. They took advantage of their chance, even though we also had ours in the 92nd minute. But the better side won today, and congratulations to them,” Deutsch told the media after the game.

“I believe Enyimba will recover from their current predicaments.”

The nine-time champions currently occupy 19th position on the table with eight points from 10 games.
