Wike’s Rainbow Coalition Crucial To Tinubu’s Victory In 2027…

Former President of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) Worldwide, Udengs Eradiri, has described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike’s Rainbow Coalition as a major political asset capable of delivering “bulk votes” for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Key Highlights
- Former IYC President Udengs Eradiri described Nyesom Wike’s Rainbow Coalition as a political asset capable of mobilising “bulk votes” for President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
- Eradiri urged APC governors and party leaders to embrace the coalition rather than view it as a threat.
- He said the coalition brings together political interests and platforms beyond the ruling party’s existing structures.
- Eradiri called on other governors and political leaders to develop similar alliances to broaden Tinubu’s support base.
- He argued that Wike’s political mobilisation should be appreciated for its potential contribution to Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
Eradiri said the coalition, which cuts across political interests and platforms, should be embraced as an added advantage to the president’s re-election bid, rather than being viewed as a threat by All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and other party leaders.
He said Wike’s initiative has demonstrated political ingenuity by creating a broad alliance focused on mobilising support for Tinubu beyond the structures of the ruling party.
The ex-IYC president urged political leaders supporting Tinubu’s second-term bid to support the coalition and encourage its expansion.
He argued that the president’s re-election would require a broad-based mobilisation strategy capable of attracting voters across political divides.
The former IYC leader challenged other governors and political leaders to emulate the initiative by developing innovative alliances that can complement existing party structures and strengthen Tinubu’s electoral base.
Eradiri said the coalition’s value should be measured by its capacity to mobilise voters for Tinubu, rather than by political calculations about its possible impact on individual governors.

He therefore cautioned APC governors against allowing internal political differences with Wike to undermine an alliance that can contribute significantly to the president’s re-election.
He added that Wike’s continued support for Tinubu makes the minister an important partner in the 2027 project.
Eradiri commended Wike’s commitment to the Tinubu administration, insisting that the minister’s political mobilisation should attract appreciation rather than opposition.
He urged Wike to continue expanding the Rainbow Coalition ahead of the election, stressing that the task of securing Tinubu’s re-election requires every credible political structure and alliance capable of delivering votes.
“The minister’s Rainbow Coalition is making impact and I encourage him to keep expanding the frontiers of the group because the re-election of the president cannot be left to chance,” Eradiri said.
