Kano Public Complaints, Anti-Corruption Boss Resigns

The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Saidu Yahaya, has resigned his appointment amid mounting pressure over his performance.
Yahaya’s resignation follows criticisms of his leadership of the state anti-graft agency, including concerns reportedly raised by the state government over his performance.
However, as of the time of filing this report, neither Yahaya nor the state government has publicly confirmed the resignation.
Yahaya was appointed chairman of the commission in August 2025 following the expiration of the tenure of his predecessor, Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado.
